Privacy policy

Last updated 7 November 2026

This policy explains what personal data Stippla and stippla.com handle, why, and your rights. The short version: the software collects nothing about you, the website uses no cookies or tracking, and buying goes through Paddle.

Who is responsible

[YOUR FULL NAME], trading as Stippla, is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].

The Stippla software

  • No usage data or tracking. Stippla does not send information about you, your computer, your files or your drawings to us or anyone else.
  • Licence check. The licence is checked on your computer, offline. Your licence key contains the name you bought under. The machine code is a one-way code derived from your Windows installation; it cannot be turned back into your computer’s name or ID. Both stay on your computer.
  • Update check. Once a day (if switched on) and when you click Updates, Stippla downloads one public file from GitHub to see whether a new version is out. Nothing about you is sent with the request. As with any web page, GitHub receives your IP address; see GitHub’s privacy statement. You can switch the automatic check off.
  • Local files. Settings, caches and a crash log are stored only on your computer. The crash log can contain file paths and is never sent anywhere.

This website

stippla.com uses no cookies, analytics or advertising, and loads no fonts or scripts from other companies. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse (Cloudflare’s privacy policy). Downloads are served from GitHub.

Buying Stippla

Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for our orders and collects your payment and billing details under its own privacy notice (Paddle privacy notice). We never see your card details. Paddle shares with us what we need to fulfil the order: your name, email address, country, what you bought, and the machine code you enter. We use it to make and send your licence key, to provide support and replacement keys, and to keep the records tax law requires.

Emails to us

When you email us we keep the conversation to answer you and to help with later questions.

Legal bases

We process order data to perform our contract with you, and keep records to meet legal obligations. Support emails are handled on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering you. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Order and licence records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and to issue replacement keys while your licence is in use. Support emails are deleted when no longer needed.

Where it is processed

Our providers (Paddle, Cloudflare, GitHub and our email provider) may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in their own policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or Türkiye’s Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data), you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, or receive a copy. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell customers by email about important changes.
